Zenith of Inherent Talent:

Our students scaled the ladder of success in every sphere & won laurels to the college. In Session 2006-07 Meenu Bala won second position in C.B.W. Competition, Rajinder won third position in poem recitation competition held at Sant Niscal singh College of Education. Ritu stood first in Best out of Waste competition held at G.D.D.A.V. College of Education, Karnal.

In the session 2006-07:

92 students obtained first division from which 8 students got above 70% marks in the Annual Examination of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. In the session 2007-08, 98% students obtained first division and 30 students got 70% marks.

Session 2007-08:

In Interzonal Youth Festival, held on 6th Feb, 2008 at D.A.V. College, Pundri Sonia won first position and Mamta won 3rd position in poster making, Suman Rani bagged third position in Haryanavi Dance. Our students Seema Sharma, Pawan Kumar and Jasbir Kaur well performed in Quiz contest.

Session 2008-09:

State level Inter College competition was held on 17th March, 2009 at Sant Nischal Singh College of Education for Women, Yamunanagar and our winning spree were Nidhi first position in pot decoration, Shivi Sahini Second position in C.B.W., Veenu second position in Poster Making, Sangeeta third position in Chart Making. In Academics, our students’ performance was meritorious.

Session 2009-10:

In an Inter College Competition at Arya Kanya Mahavidyalya, Shahabad (Kurukshetra) on 28th – 29th Jan. 2010 Jyoti Bala won second prize in Kavita Path and Sanskrit Sholocharan.

Session 2010-11:

Our students named Akashdeep Verma, Deepak Bharti Sharma Rajbir Signh, Prinyaka Chawla, Parshotam Goyal , Pooja Dhiman, Ravinder Kaur Sandhu and Sarabjeet Kaur got different positions and prizes in essay writing, slogan writing, poster making and painting competitions under Epoch making social thinkers of India were organized by SMS Khalsa Labana College, Barara from 19th -21st Jan. 2011.

Session 2011-12:

Our students give perform remarkably in the Zonal Youth Festival held at Tulsi College of Education for women, Ambala on 10th – 12th November 2011. Sarita Rani got 3rd prize in declamation competition and Tarjeet kaur 2nd prize in poetry recitation competition in Inter College Poetry Recitation & Declamation Competition organized by Lord Krishna College of Education, Adhoya on 22nd March 2012. Tarjeet Kaur got 2nd position in Skill in teaching competition in teaching of English in Inter University Skill in Teaching competition held at Sri Sardari lal College of Education, Nahoni (Ambala). A group of our students got first position in the ‘District Level Street Play Competition on Right to Education Act 2009’ organized by SCERT Haryana at Ambala on 24th April 2012 and the same play got second position at Divisional Level competition.

Session 2012-13:

Sushma got 1st prizes and Pawan got 2nd prize in Collage making and Poster Making respectively in an Inter College Competition named ‘SRIJAN 2013’ organised by Lala Ami Chand Monga Memorial College of Education, Ugala (Ambala) on 28th Jan. 2013.

Session 2013-14:

Sheela D.Ed. student won first prize in painting competition and Pawan got first position in poster making in ‘Jan Jagriti Abhiyan’ at Barara. Sushma (D.Ed. Student) won Second position in Declamation Contest.

Session 2014-15:

Nivedita won first position, Sonia got second and Bhawna remained 3rd in singing in Intra College Singing and Dance Competition. Nivedita achieved first position, Ramandeep and Sonia won second position, Bhawna got 3rd position in ‘Dance Competition’. Neha won first prize in ‘Dry Flower arrangement’, Bharti got second position in ‘Salad Making Competition’, Jaspreet won third position in ‘Rangoli Competition’ and Ramandeep got consolation prize ‘Fresh Flower Arrangement’ in State Level Inter College Competitions held at S.L.D.A.V. College of Education, Ambala City. Overall trophy of the competition was won by our esteemed College.

CO-Curricular Activities

(i) Games and Sports and Health Services

Games and sports are an essential feature of a college of education because invariably teachers are assigned duties in a school related to this. In addition to the academic work with which a teacher is mainly entrusted, he has to develop the quality of physical fitness and character development, in his students as well.

The college organises various types of sports activities. They are as under:

  •   Athletics Meet
  •   Volley Ball Competition
  •   Kho - Kho Competition
  •   Badminton Competition
  •   Cricket Competition
  •   Chess Competition
  •   Carrom Board Competition

The college has enough stock of sports material and kits for all the games. Teacher incharge of Physical Education organizes the activities smoothly through out the year.

(ii) Education Society:

The Education Society of the institute is a great learning resource for the student teachers. It organizes a variety of programmes of educational value. The main objectives of the society are:

  • Providing a platform for developing leadership qualities
  • Identifying individual merits and talents of student teachers
  • Developing aesthetic sense through beautification of college campus
  • Developing organizational skills among the student teachers
  • Developing higher values and virtues through devotional songs, music, noble thoughts
  • Developing open mindedness through interfaith programmes
  • Creating awareness of student-teachers towards the significance of festivals, traditions, national & international days.

(iii) Sadans/Houses

For imparting training to the teacher trainees regarding school activities, the student teachers are grouped into various Sadans. There are Four Sadans for the B.Ed. and D.Ed. classes. Each Sadan is named after an outstanding educationalist. The Houses/sadans are :

  •   Saraswati Sadan
  •   Gandhi Sadan
  •   Tagore Sadan
  •   Vivekanand Sadan

Sadan on duty for the week is entrusted with several activities like conduct of morning assembly, writing news, thought of the day, maintaining discipline, beautification of the campus and rooms.

Each Sadan is headed by a member of faculty, who guides the students in cultural as well as academic activities. There is a regular meeting of Sadans (twice a week). Sadans organize various festivals including Holi, Lohri and Cracker free ecofriendly Diwali and also organize various inter-house competitions like declamation context, debates and quiz competition.


Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 as well as under the penal law for the time being in force.
