Our Methology

The approach adopted at L.K.C.E seeks to empower the students to harness their potential strengths, to emerge as positive, well-informed and confident individuals. The design of the course is composed of knowledge domain & skill domain as following:

    1. Knowledge Domain:

    The spirit of classroom training encompassing the socio-philosophical & psychological foundation and innovative technology trends. Since its foundation, L.K.C.E. has a privilege to invite eminent personalities for extension lectures & seminars on Teacher Education. Great Educationist Dr. D.R. Vij, former Principal S.I.E. Patiala & lifetime achievement awardee in Teacher Education shared his rare Mantra "The ABC of teaching" with L.K.C.E. students (2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10) to broaden their Horizons. Prof. R.P. Singh, an International Teacher Education icon, shared the present status & scenario of the Teacher Education in India & abroad with LKCE students (2009) to get introduced them with problems & ground realities in Teacher Education. Dr. B.S. Yadav, Associate Professor from University College of Education, KUK delivered an extension lecture in the session 2009-10 at the college to provide latest knowledge of Evaluation system in B.Ed. course and to inculcate human & life values in the student-teachers.

    In the session 2010-11 Dr. D. R. Vij blessed the students his views on ‘OnJoining Teaching Profession’. He also viewed about the fundamental principles to be a good teacher. An eminent personality Dr. B.B. Lala extended his deliberation that Aids is not curable but it can be prevented by taking some initial steps.

    In the session 2011-12 Mr. Balram, Sr. Lecturer, DIET, Mohra (Ambala) extended his delibration that in the modern conflicted and confused lifestyle human being rose the demand of proper guidance and counseling in all the sphere of life on 12th December 2011. A prominent personality Dr. Rajbir Parashar delivered a lecture on ‘Profeciency in English’ in which he emphasized the correct use of this language and at least approximate pronunciation that should be acceptable by all.

    2. Skill Domain:

    In session 2013-14, Prof Taruna Dhall from Kurukshetra Uniververty gave an extension lecture on ‘Learning Paradigms’.

    The students are grouped into tutorials & houses for syndicate learning, bringing about the healthy competitive spirit and a sense of belongingness. The sadan & tutorials occupies a prominent place in our college activities. We start the instructions with Daily Morning Assembly to imbibe the values .

    For the all round development of the pupil-teachers various activities are organized in the institution. The main aspects covered through these activities are:

    • Physical Development: Athletic meet & games period.
    • Personal Development: Cultural activities & Community based projects.
    • Social Development: Collaboration with the community, Organizing Community Services Programmes, Celebrating important National and International days of Social Importance such as AIDS day, Environment Day, Women’s Day, Youth Day etc.
    • Intellectual Development: Seminars, Quiz, Debate, Symposium, Essay Writing, Declamation etc.
    • Career Development: Providing Guidance & Counseling to choose right vocation.

    • Nationalism: Celebrating Important National Days like Republic Day, Independence Day, Martyrdom Day, Haryana Heroes’ Day.

    Workshops on Micro Teaching and Paper cutting & card Board modeling were organisd for the students from time to time during each session. A workshop on ‘Role of ICT in preparing a good teacher’ is organized by the college on 28-29 March 2010 in which Dr. A. P. Behera, Dr. Rajesh Nimish and Dr. Ashutosh Wajhalwar from NCERT, New Delhi tells the student-teacher about how to prepare various teaching aids in different subjects and how to integrate ICT in the process of teaching-learning.

    In the session 2010-11 Mr. R.P. Saini, State Training Officer, Chandigarh highlighted Indian Red Cross Society’s involvement in major national disaster and the range of training programme provided by it in ‘First Aid & Disaster Management Camp’ to our students. Employment Exchange officer aware the students about the importance of registration with employment exchange in their respective areas.

    Dr. Rajesh Nimish from NCERT, New Delhi present his view about the ‘Innovative Pre-service & In Service Teacher Training Programmes’ in a One Day Workshop on ‘ Curriculum Development’ on 29th March 2011.

    The concept of Smart Classes, E-learning & E-Schooling was explained to the students by the Assistant Professors of LKCOE in a One day workshop on ‘Teaching Learning Material’ on 24th December 2011.

    Dr. Amarender Behra from NCERT, New Delhi emphasized on how the teachers can use the information available on internet to improve their teaching and enhance their knowledge to make themselves compatible for the upcoming era in a One day workshop on ‘Developing ICT Skills’ on 20th March 2012.

    In session 2013-14, Prof Taruna Dhall from Kurukshetra Uniververty gave an extension lecture on ‘Learning Paradigms’.


To enable the students to broaden their outlook & to gain firsthand experience, various educational Tour & trips were organized during each session. Students accompanied by their teachers visited Trade Fair, New Delhi (2006-07), Advanced Study Centre Shimla (2007-08), Golden Temple Amritsar, Jalianwala Bagh & Wagha Border (2008-09).

One day Educational trip to the Holy City Kurukshera and Two Days tour to Dehradun, Mussoorie, Haridwar & Rishikesh (2010-11), One Day Educational Trip to Chandigarh, Mansa Devi, Doll Muesum & Navodaya Vidyalya Chandigarh (2011-12), Two Day Educational Tour to Naina Devi, Anandpur Sahib, Bhakhra-Naggal Dam, Chandigarh (2012-13).

One day educational trip to Kurukshetra and one more trip to Haridwar were organized in session 2013-14.

One day educational tour to Dehradun, Ponta Saheb and One day educational trip to Kurukshetra for ‘Geeta Jayanti Mahotswa’ was organized in the session 2015-16.


Various activities were organized in the college from time to time, like inaugural function of the college, Lohri celebration, International Women's Day Celebration, Republic & Independence Day Celebration, Janamastmi Celebration, Talent Search Competition, Debate & Declamation contest, Athletic meet, Annual Get Together etc.
