Virtual Fine Arts Workshop: Inspiring Creativity Amidst COVID-19

Art has always been a powerful medium to express emotions, spread positivity, and inspire hope. Keeping this in mind, Lord Krishna College of Education, Adhoya (Ambala) organized a Virtual Fine Arts Workshop on June 12, 2021, titled “Creative Ways to Offer Hope Amid COVID-19.” The workshop aimed to encourage students to explore their artistic potential while addressing the emotional challenges brought by the pandemic.

Workshop Highlights

Theme: Exploring creative expressions to spread hope and positivity.
Participants: Students of B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. from Lord Krishna College of Education.
Keynote Speaker: Ms. Aditi Bamal, University of Toronto, Canada.
Special Resource Persons: Experts from the field of Fine Arts, including Mr. Kulwinder Singh and Ms. Ramandeep Kaur.
Art Forms Covered: Various painting techniques, elements of art, visual arts, and creative expression.
E-Certificates: Provided to attendees who submitted feedback.

Objective of the Workshop

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people worldwide faced stress, anxiety, and isolation. This workshop served as a therapeutic initiative, helping students channel their emotions into art. The sessions focused on different artistic techniques such as painting, shading, and visual storytelling, allowing students to express their thoughts and find solace in creativity.

Engaging Sessions & Expert Insights

The event featured multiple sessions led by renowned artists and educators, covering:

🎨 Painting with Various Mediums – Exploring techniques to create expressive and meaningful artwork.
🖌 Elements of Art: Lines and Shades – Understanding the impact of different strokes and shading techniques.
🖼 Different Forms of Visual Arts – A deep dive into contemporary and traditional visual art forms.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Renu Sohta (Director of the Workshop), followed by a Presidential Address by Shri Raj Kumar Sangwan (Chairman, Lord Krishna College of Education).

A Successful Conclusion

The event concluded with a valedictory session led by Prof. Ram Viranjan (Retd.), Department of Fine Arts, Kurukshetra University, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Asha Rani. The participants left the workshop feeling motivated, inspired, and artistically enriched, proving that even in difficult times, art can be a beacon of hope.
